First partial solar eclipse of 2019 tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The first solar eclipse of 2019 will take place on January 7. It will be a partial solar eclipse and the phenomenon will start from 5 am and will continue till 8:18 am tomorrow, informed Director of Pathani Samanta Planetarium Dr. Subhendu Pattnaik.

Though this partial solar eclipse will not be visible in India it can be seen from parts of North-East Asia and North Antarctica.  This partial solar eclipse is the first of six that will occur in 2019. A total lunar eclipse also known as the ‘Super Blood Wolf Moon’ will occur on January 20-21.

As per reports, a full solar eclipse will take place on July 2 and it will not be visible in India. The third and last solar eclipse of the current year will take place on December 26.

During the eclipse, shadow will be seen around the sun. This eclipse will be partially visible in many parts in India, while the shadow track can be seen from some parts in Kerala.
