Fire breaks out in Punjab National Bank in Balasore

Balasore: A fire broke out at Punjab National Bank's (PNB) Chandaneswar branch in Bhogarai block of Balasore district Saturday early morning.

As per reports, locals noticed smoke emanating from the bank at around 3 am today morning. Subsequently, they informed the Fire Services department.

After getting information, fire tenders rushed to the spot immediately and managed to douse the flames. By the time, the flames were brought under control, several important documents and computers were completely damaged.

Though the exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that a short circuit might have led to the mishap.
