Fine India chit fund scam: Actor Naseer Khan moves court again for bail

Bhubaneswar: A day after his bail plea was turned down by the CBI court, Fine India chit fund chief and actor Nasser Khan today moved the Bhubaneswar sessions court seeking bail again. After his bail plea was rejected by the CBI court yesterday, Nasser was sent to jail till February 27.

As per reports, Fine India, which had several branches across the country, was allegedly involved in duping crores of rupees by accepting public deposits. The CBI had found evidence that the chit fund scam money was used to produce movie ‘Shadow’ by the visually challenged actor Khan. The movie also featured him as an actor as well.

Khan was earlier arrested in October 2009 by the Odisha Crime Branch from Cuttack and later released on bail.
