Dhenkanal: One female elephant was reportedly electrocuted inside Bahendei forests under Hindol range in Dhenkanal district. The carcass of the female elephant was lying inside the forests for the last three days.

The officials of electricity department were trying to find out the reason of the death of the elephant aged about 25 years. Forest officials said that the body of the elephant had decomposed highly creating problem in its post-mortem.
