Bhubaneswar: Favouring a non-Congress and a non-BJP Federal Front at the national level, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said he is watching how things proceed.

"It is still early days to discuss about Federal Front. Let us see how things proceed," Patnaik told reporters on his return from Delhi.

Stating that Federal Front would be "good" for the country, the ruling BJD supremo said: "let us see how it works out".

Asked whether he would take an initiative for formation of the Federal Front, Naveen said "I will examine the matter".

Patnaik said nothing has been decided so far though he spoke to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in this regard.

Odisha's ruling BJD, which snapped its ties with BJP-led NDA just before the 2009 elections, stick to its earlier stand of maintaining equi-distance from both Congress and BJP, Patnaik said.
