Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the state-level annual farmers’ convention, ‘Krushi Odisha 2019’, at Biju Patnaik Ground in Baramunda here. The five-day flagship programme of Odisha government will continue till January 19.

During the convention, seminars will be held on various topics including organic farming, sea and inland fish processing and role of women in agriculture.

The Krushi Odisha-2019 focuses on the development of a composite farming system for increasing the income of small and marginal farmers and generation of employment for agricultural labourers.

Many farmers from across the State will also be felicitated during the program. Earlier on January 11, the CM unveiled ‘Sweet Potato’ as the mascot for Krushi Odisha-2019.
