Epic! Odisha Bride Rejects Drunk Groom On Wedding Day

Sambalpur: A bride in Odisha called off her wedding and rejected the groom after he was found drunk in the Marriage Mandap. The wedding was scheduled to take place at the Mandap in Jujumura village of Sambalpur district on Sunday.

As per reports, the marriage party initially reached Jujumura and had food before heading towards the Mandap. The groom, Surendra from Nakatideula village, meanwhile was so drunk that he lost his balance while reaching the Mandap.

The sight was so disturbing for the bride Mamata that she refused to marry him. Although a lot of attempts were made to pacify her, she did not agree to marry Surendra, sources said.

"The groom was drunk and was unable to sit in the Mandap due to which the girl rejected him. Both the groom and bride's family sat for a discussion and decided to break the marriage," informed President of Ganda Welfare Society, Rasanada Nayak.
