Engineering student goes missing in river while taking selfie

Keonjhar: A student of Bhubanananda Odisha School of Engineering in Cuttack went missing after falling down a barrage in Keonjhar today. The missing student has been identified as Bailochan Samal of Jajpur district.

According to sources, Samal along with two other students of BOSE institute had gone to visit Tarini temple in Ghatgaon today. While returning, the trio halted at Anandpur barrage to take selfie when the mishap happened.

Samal reportedly slipped and fell into Baitarani river while taking selfie.

A search operation has been launched by ODRAF and Fire Services personnel to trace the missing student.
