Puri: Bizarre it may sound, but an engineering graduate has been found begging on Badadanda, the Grand Road, in the pilgrim town of Puri.

The identity of the man was revealed after he lodged an FIR, written in English, against a rickshaw-puller at Puri Town Police Station on Friday.

In the FIR copy, he mentioned himself as Girija Shankar Mishra- a resident of Niladri Vihar in Bhubaneswar and his father is a retired DSP.

As per reports, Mishra was begging near Gaudiya Mutt on Badadanda yesterday when a cycle rickshaw-puller parked his three-wheeler in front of him.

When Mishra asked the rickshaw-puller to shift his three-wheeler to some other place, a scuffle erupted between them. Later, an injured Mishra lodged an FIR against in connection with the incident.

However, the exact reason behind Mishra's begging is yet to be known.
