Eminent Odia singer Geeta Pattnaik hospitalised, condition critical

Eminent Odia singer Geeta Pattnaik has been admitted to a private hospital in Cuttack after reportedly suffering a cerebral stroke on Thursday. Her condition is stated to be critical, and she is undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

According to sources, Pattnaik fell ill while attending a literary programme in Bhubaneswar, where she had been invited as a guest. She was immediately rushed to Capital Hospital for medical attention and later shifted to a private hospital in Cuttack for advanced treatment.

Hospital sources said doctors diagnosed her with a cerebral stroke and placed her under intensive observation. A team of specialists is closely monitoring her condition. No official medical bulletin had been issued at the time of filing this report.
