Elephant carcass found from Kaladhara forest
Berhampur: Carcass of an elephant calf was found from the Kaladhara forest near Pochalundi village of Odisha`s Ganjam district today. The female calf, aged around two years, was suspected to have been killed by an adult pachyderm during midnight, forest officials said.
Divisional Forest Officer, Ghumusara (south), BB Behera said the animal had several injury marks on its body. A herd of 15-20 elephants was roaming the area for last several days.
