Bhubaneswar: Odisha Congress today changed party candidates for three Assembly constituencies for upcoming polls while announcing its next list of candidates. Today the party announced candidates for Sambalpur Lok Sabha and nine Assembly seats in Odisha.

A day after the party announced its decision to field Prithvi Ballav Patnaik, son of former Chief Minister late JB Patnaik from Begunia Assembly constituency, the Congress today nominated Pradeep Sahu as candidate for the seat. Similarly, Congress named former VIMSAR director Ashwini Pujahari as party candidate for Sambalpur Assembly seat replacing Ashwini Guru. Congress spokesperson Abhisek Mahananda replaced Ratnakar Behera as party candidate from Cuttack-Sadar Assembly seat.

OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik was formally nominated as party candidate from Ghasipura. It is pertinent to mention that he has already filed nomination papers from the Assembly seat.

The party named Jagdish Mohanty as its candidate from Cuttack-Choudwar, Sukant Tiadi Bhoi from Jaydev, Rajib Patnaik from Bhubaneswar-Central, Itish Pradhan from Bhubaneswar-North and Pradeep Swain from Chilika.

The party allotted ticket to senior leader Sarat Patnaik for Sambalpur Lok Sabha constituency.
