ECoR Cancels, Diverts Several Trains Following Incessant Rain In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has cancelled, diverted and short-terminated many passenger and express trains due to flood-like situation in Daikalu-Ambadola section of Rayagada-Titlagarh route following incessant rain since the last two days.

In a release issued by the ECoR, it said, “Railways will be able to give proper forecast of restoration of traffic once water levels recede and proper assessment is done. We would like to assure our passengers that trains will run in the affected section only after ascertaining the safety of track.”

Safety of passengers is the top priority of ECoR. Hence, trains will remain cancelled in the morning in the affected area, the notification read.

Here is the full list of cancelled, diverted, short terminated trains due to flood in Daikalu-Ambadola section of Rayagada-Titlagarh line:

Cancelled:

3. 18638 Bengaluru Cantt-Hatia Express on August 6 from Rayagada via Vizianagaram -Khurda Road-Angul-Sambalpur

4. 13351 Dhanbad-Alleppey Express on August 6 from Bargarh via Sambalpur-Angul-Khurda Road-Palash-Vigiyanagram.

5. 12807 Visakhapatnam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express today via Duvvada-Balharshah-Nagpur.

Partially cancelled:

1. 18518 Visakhapatnam-Korba Express that left Visakhapatnam on August 6 will run upto Singapur Road and run as passenger special Express from Singapur Road to Visakhapatnam.

2. 18517 Korba - Visakhapatnam that left Korba on August 6 will run upto Titlagarh and run as 18518 Express from Titlagarh to Korba. The services between Singapur Road- Titlagarh-Sigapur Road will remain cancelled.

3. 18107 Rourkela- Jagdalpur Express that left Rourkela yesterday will run upto Titlagarh and run as 18108 Express from Titlagarh to Rourkela.

4. 18108 Jagdalpur- Rourkela Express that left Jagdalpur yesterday will upto Muniguda & run as passenger special Express from Muniguda to Jagdalpur. Services of 18107/18108 will remain cancelled between Titlagarh-Muniguda-Titlagarh.

5. 18005 Howrah- Jagdalpur Express that left Howrah on August 6 will run upto Titlagarh and run as 18006 Express from Titlagarh to Howrah. Services of 18005/18006 will remain cancelled between Titlagarh- Jagdalpur-Titlagarh.

6. 18437 Bhubaneswar/Rayagada-Jungarh Road that left Bhubaneswar August 6 will run upto Rayagada.18438 Junagarh road /Rayagada- Bhubaneswar Express will run from Rayagada to Bhubaneswar today.

7. 58529 Durg- Visakhapatnam passenger that left Durg yesterday will run upto Titlagarh and run as 58530 passenger from Titlagarh to Durg. Services of 58529/58530 will remain cancelled between Titlagarh- Visakhapatnam- Titlagarh.
