Sambalpur: To avoid commotion and ensure smooth dispersal of crowd at train stations in this summer, the East-Coast railways have introduced a special train service between Sambalpur and Vishakhapatnam.

The train containing one first class air conditioned (A/C) coach, one third class A/C coach, five sleeper class coaches and five general bogies started its journey on Saturday at 9.05 pm from Sambalpur railway station and reached Vishakhapatnam on Sunday at 8.15. Similarly, the train will begin its journey on Sunday at 10.30 pm from Vishakhapatnam and is scheduled to reach in Sambalpur at 8.45 am next morning.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Railway Manager has said that keeping the passengers demand in mind, the train would run on a daily basis.

“The train will run up to 25.06.2011. After that, if we get good response and patronage, we will write to the headquarters to run it daily”, said DRM Sambalpur A.V. Sibaprasad.
