‘Drunk’ Girls From West Bengal Detained For ‘Public Nuisance’ In Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Tension erupted in Samantarapur area of the capital city today morning after three girls hailing from West Bengal allegedly created public nuisance on Kapileswar road in an inebriated condition.
According to sources, a local resident suffered a freak mishap after the girls, while opening their car door accidentally hit him. The victim along with some locals and bystanders gathered near the spot. It led to a heated exchange of words between the locals and the car occupants. As per the people present at the spot, after liquor bottles and cigarette packets were spotted inside the car, the vehicle and the occupants were detained.
In order to pacify the irate public and prevent any untoward incident, police rushed to the spot and took the car occupants into custody.
Upon inspection, police revealed that the three girl occupants of the car are natives of West Bengal and they were returning back to their State through Bhubaneswar after visiting Puri.
After interrogation, police released the girls but the car has been detained.
