Kendrapara: After holding discussions with the district administration, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik today informed that drinking water and power supply have been completely restored in the cyclone Fani-hit Kendrapara district. The CM also announced that Odisha government will construct 30 cyclone shelters at a cost of Rs 2 crore each at vulnerable areas in Kendrapara.

“30 cyclone shelters will be constructed at Rs 2 crore each at vulnerable areas. The district administration has been directed to provide immediate assistance for the repairs of school, anganwadi building and other public utility assets owned by panchayats on a war-footing. The officials have been directed to provide an assistance of Rs 2 lakh for each damaged structure,” said Patnaik.

Patnaik further informed that not a single beneficiary will be left out and already clear instructions have been given to the district administration officials for implementing the livelihood package for self-help groups, farmers and others.
