Disproportionate assets case: Assistant engineer in Vigilance net

Keonjhar: The Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raids on office and houses of an Assistant Engineer of Shalapada division of Baitarani Irrigation Basin on charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

As per reports, four teams led by the Keonjhar Vigilance DSP conducted the searches at the houses and office of Assistant Engineer Nanda Kishore Sahu in connection the disproportionate asset case. The sleuths raided Sahu's government quarters at Shalapada, office and ancestral house at Ghasipura.

Sources said the Vigilance officials were undertaking measurements of the houses of Sahu and examination of documents at his office till the last reports came in.

Balasore SP had earlier directed for Vigilance action following allegations leveled against the engineer for possessing unaccountable assets.
