Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Police Commissioner on Tuesday clarified the arrested security guard Diptiranjan Patnaik was lone killer of lady entrepreneur Bachansuddha Patnaik.

"The pshyco-analysis assessment report showed that Diptiranjan only killed Bachansuddha Patnaik. There was no accomplice in the murder case," said Police Commissioner Dr RP Sharma mentioning about the test report.

Notably, the pshyco-analysis test was done on the accused by Dr Asha Srivastav, an expert clinical psychologist with Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), New Delhi on September 19. The investigating officials got the report on Monday evening.

"There are sufficient material evidences to make the accused face a trial," added Sharma.

The test report has cleared Bachansuddha’s family members suspicion that more than one person were involved in the murder.

Diptiranjan was sent to judicial custody after being produced before sub divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM) on Monday.

On September 11, Diptiranjan had allegedly murdered the 55-year-old wife of businessman Manu Charan Patnaik at their Sabar Sahi home in Rasulgarh here.

The accused was nabbed in Nayagarh two days later. He confessed to have committed the crime.
