As per reports, the engine was coming from Raja Athagarh when the fire broke out and later spread to some bogies. It is suspected that the fire might be an outcome of an electric short circuit in its generator.

As per reports, the injured students were admitted to Parjang Community Health Centre. The van was carrying 12 students of Barihapur Model School when the accident took place. However, the reason behind the accident could not be ascertained immediately.

As per initial reports, all the deceased were asleep when the incident occurred. The matter came to light on Saturday morning. All of them were rushed to a nursing home where the doctors declared them dead.

Farmer Biranchi Malick said, "A forest is there in our Karamul panchayat. Elephants, porcupines, boars, and jackals damage our crops. We farmers have adopted this mechanism to scare the animals away. Boars are a major menace. We fear to kill boars because of legal action. This system keeps these marauding animals away from our farmland.”

As per reports, Pihu’s mother Monalisa Nayak left her home at Jajpur’s Binjharpur for Sambalpur on Friday night by a car. But she was reportedly apprehended near Govindpur just before Dhenkanal town by the police and detained at the Govindpur outpost.

As per reports, Sarbeswar was going on his bike. The car in which the Sundargarh MP was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela allegedly hit the bike from the rear at Rekula Chhak. A farmer allegedly ended his life for not being able to repay loans taken to grow paddy at Khurusia village under Kamakhyanagar Police limits of Dhenkanal on Friday.
