Bhubaneswar: Terming the demolition of a temple of Lord Jagannath in Delhi as unfortunate, BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday asked the Delhi government to take corrective steps.

"It is unfortunate that Lord Jagannath`s temple in Pushp Vihar area of Delhi has been demolished recently. It has hurt the religious sentiments of the people, particularly from Orissa," Gadkari told reporters winding up his two-day visit to Orissa.

The BJP chief`s reaction came about a week after the Shiv Shakti Jagannath temple was demolished in the national capital.
