A dance bar was allegedly operating without permission in the Capital Police Station area in Bhubaneswar. Exclusive visuals accessed by OTV showed dancers performing inside the premises and money was showered on the dance floor.
The bar is alleged to have remained open late into the night, flouting excise norms. Sources indicate that the establishment was conducting dance performances without obtaining the required permissions, in violation of existing regulations.
The visuals have raised serious questions over monitoring and enforcement of excise rules in the capital.

After receiving information about the alleged irregularities, officials from the Excise Department conducted a surprise inspection at the bar. A special team has been constituted to examine the CCTV footage installed at the premises.
The Excise Superintendent stated that the CCTV recordings will be scrutinised to ascertain whether any rules were violated. If the allegations are found to be true, strict action will be taken against the establishment in accordance with the law.
