Gajapati: At a time when life is slowly limping back to normalcy post Cyclone Titli and subsequent floods in three worst affected districts including Gajapati, over a hundred persons affected by the calamity today abandoned the relief camps set up at Khajuripada protesting negligence by the administration.

According to sources, as many as 102 persons of Rageijholi village which was completely destroyed by landslide following cyclone Titli on October 11 left the relief camps alleging that they were not being given food.

The villagers also staged road blockade and demanded rehabilitation.

Due to heavy rainfall, the entire village of Rageijholi was devastated after a landslide following which the villagers had shifted to relief camps.

After Cyclone Titli made landfall near Palasa in Andhra Pradesh on October 11, several districts including Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada were affected in subsequent floods.

As many as 62 persons have so far died in the cyclone and the floods that severely affected multiple locations in the state.
