According to the IMD, the wind speed may reach 60 to 70 kmph during this period. While the exact landfall location is yet to be determined, early indications suggest that Andhra Pradesh is likely to face a greater impact, whereas Odisha may experience only heavy rainfall and gusty winds.

Weather experts have predicted widespread rain and squally weather over southern, central, and coastal Odisha for three days. The IMD added that a clearer picture of the cyclone’s track and strength will emerge in the next 24 hours.

The system is likely to impact Andhra Pradesh, but Odisha will experience heavy rainfall. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected on October 27, 28 and 29 in the coastal region.”
