Cuttack has a rich maritime history which says that the traders’ sons (Sadhab pua) use to go to Java Sumatra Island to do business and brings lot of wealth here. To recollect this history every year Baliyatra, a weeklong festival is being organized here. Cuttack is the birth place of Subash Chandra Bose.
