The anti-corruption vigilance wing of Odisha police today claimed to have detected disproportionate asset of over Rs one crore during a series of raids on the residences of an executive engineer, officials said.

The simultaneous searches at seven places of the Executive Engineer, R&B Division, Khurda, Satyanarayan Sahu and found total movable and immovable assets worth over Rs one crore, they said.

The raids were done in his office at Khurda, residence at Bhubaneswar and paternal house at Hinjilikut in Ganjam district, among other places, they said.

The seized materials included over Rs 10.85 lakh cash, bank, post office and LIC deposits worth over Rs 10.5 lakh, gold ornaments valued at Rs 7.5 lakh, costly cars and household articles besides immovable property worth Rs 53 lakh, they said.

"Total movable and immovable assets detected during house search so far has been calculated at Rs 1,00,00,025", an official release said.
