Crime Branch raids gangster Tito's 'Kobra Manzil' in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: As part of its strategy to wipe out and analyse the entire 'crime network' of notorious gangster Tito aka Sayed Usman Ali, the Odisha Crime Branch on Friday conducted a massive raid on his residence 'Kobra Manzil' at Dilawarpur under Town police limits in Kendrapara.

Earlier, Tito who is involved in several crimes was arrested following an encounter by Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch near Chandikhole in Jajpur on June 30.

At present the gangster is on a six-day crime branch remand and the raid is believed to be conducted after the investigating agency got some vital clues during Tito's interrogation on third day today.

Sources said the investigating agency is keen to conduct a detailed probe into Tito's underworld link, his involvement in various crimes, tender fixing and other business operations including acquiring railway contracts in the name of his associates and relatives.

Keeping in view joint raid by district police and crime branch, five platoons of police force have been deployed to maintain law and order.
