Balasore: A couple died when a lorry hit a motorbike from behind near Daradia under Khnatapada police station on national highway No. 5 today, police said.

Three persons identified as Kailash Chandra Muduli (40), his wife Umamani (32) and his brother-in-law Ramakanta Nayak were on the motorbike going to Balasore when the accident occurred.

Kailash and his wife died on the spot while Ramakanta was shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack after his condition became critical at the district headquarter hospital here.
