Counseling for vacant medical seats to start from Sept 23
Bhubaneswar: Counseling for vacant MBBS and BDS seats under state and all India quota category will be held on September 23 and 24, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) officials said. The counseling will be held at the IIIT centre in Gothapatana, Bhubaneswar.
According to official sources, the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack has three vacant seats under 15% all India quota category after first phase counseling. While MKCG has two seats to be filled up under the same category at least three seats have remained vacant at VSS Medical College, Burla.
Likewise, under state quota category, at least 21 MBBS seats in all the three government medical colleges and 66 MBBS seats in private medical colleges have remained vacant while SCB will have to fill up 14 BDS vacant seats. Similarly, 78 BDS seats are yet to be filled up in two private medical colleges in the state, sources added.
