Bhubaneswar: The Pradesh Congress Committee members headed by the PCC chief Niranjan Pattanaik today met the union home minister P Chidambaram in the capital during his one-day official visit to the state to take stock of the naxal problem in the state.

The Congress leaders have submitted a memorandum to the union minister on alleged irregularities conducted by the state government. The memorandum alleged that the law and order situation in the state alarming and the government had failed to maintain order. The leaders also alleged that there were large scale irregularities in the distribution of relief materials during the floods and mismanagement in flood control.
