Bhubaneswar: Accusing the Congress of deliberately trying to disrupt the proceedings in Odisha Assembly, BJP MLA Bishnu Sethi alleged that there is some 'arrangement' between the ruling-BJD and Congress members.

“During Zero Hour, every member has equal rights. But I have observed that some members are rushing to the well of House in an attempt to prevent BJP leaders form raising issues. This clearly suggests that there is some nexus between the BJD and Congress,” alleged Sethi, who is the deputy leader of opposition.

Sethi further stated that nobody can stop BJP, if it resorts to creating such pandemonium in the House.

Congress legislature party leader, Narasingha Mishra, on the other hand, alleged that people of Odisha very well know who are in an alliance.

“BJP is only creating drama. Both BJP and BJD are friends and Odisha CM has donated one Rajya Sabha seat to its friend. For this reason, BJP is shielding BJD in the House,” said Mishra.

Mishra further stated that, “If BJP was really concerned, they should have joined Congress members on the issue of High Court Bench in western Odisha.”

BJD Chief Whip, Pramila Mallick said, “There might be some kind of understanding between the BJP and Congress. We (BJD) don’t have any nexus with anyone. Odisha Assembly Speaker is discussing the issue with both the parties so that the House functions smoothly.”
