Congress announces candidates for 2 Lok Sabha, 9 Assembly seats in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Central Election Committee (CEC) of All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Wednesday released its list of candidates for two Lok Sabha and nine Assembly constituencies of Odisha.

Senior leader Panchanan Kanungo has been made party's candidate for Cuttack Lok Sabha seat while Manas Jena will contest from Jajpur Lok Sabha seat.

Apart from the two Lok Sabha seats, Congress also announced candidates for nine Assembly constituencies in Odisha. Former Odisha CM late Janaki Ballabh Patnaik's son Prithvi Patnaik has been fielded as candidate from Begunia Assembly constituency.

Apart from the two Lok Sabha candidates for Odisha, the Central Election Committee (CEC) of Congress also announced the list of 18 other candidates for Lok Sabha Elections including 4 from Gujarat, 3 from Jharkhand, 2 from Karnataka, 1 from Himachal Pradesh, 1 from D&N Haveli, and 6 from Punjab.
