Rajgangpur/Rourkela: First it was Pipli. Then it was in Bhadrak. And now it is in Rajgangpur in Sundergarh district. The rape incident of a college girl came to light after the victim on Thursday lodged complaints with the police. The girl complained that she was abducted and then raped by the miscreants.

According to the FIR filed by the complainant, the girl was abducted while she had gone to witness Urs festival in Rourkela and then raped by the accuseds. The girl was student of the Government College in Rourkela. She complained that the miscreants held her hostage in a vehicle for over five hours after the heinous crime.

Three girl students of Government college in Rourkela on last Wednesday jointly went to Rajgangpur to witness the Urs festival. The three girls had gone from village Kukudamunda, about 20 kilometres from Rajgangpur. "Two youths who came in a vehicle suddenly when we were witnessing the festival and snatched away our  mobile phones and forcefully abducted me," the girl narrated. The two other broke the story of abduction after they rushed to the village.

The victim mentioned that the two youths hailed from village Khatakhulabahal under Kutra police limits. She has mentioned the names of the two youths in her FIR and disclosed their identity before the media as well. The Rajgangpur police conducted raids at several places but so far the two youths remained at large.
