Bhubaneswar: Intense cold wave conditions continued to adversely affect normal life across Odisha as mercury dipped below 10 degree Celsius in five places on Saturday. According to Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre, Angul recorded a lowest minimum temperature of 8.0 degree Celsius.

Due to considerable drop in the night temperatures, people in several parts are experience intense cold wave conditions. Besides, dense fog has also compounded miseries for commuters in some parts of the State.

Duty Officer, Gauranga Charan Behera informed that the cold wave conditions will continue for another couple of days.

“Odisha is experiencing cold wave conditions due to western disturbance and northern winds. Such conditions are likely to prevail for couple of days while the day temperature is likely to increase from February 20,” said Das.
