Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister today convened an emergency meeting to tackle possible effects of tsunami following high alert sounded in India. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has asked the district collectors of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Puri, Ganjam and Jagatsinghpur to stay on alert to tackle any possible danger due to the effects of tsunami. The people in coastal areas have been asked to vacate their areas and move to safer places on notice to avoid casualties. Earlier in the day, mild tremors were felt in several parts of the state including the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
