CM to look into horse-trading charge during RS poll
"The whole matter will be looked into," Patnaik told reporters when asked about the state government`s response to the alleged horse-trading during the June, 2010 Rajya Sabha polls.
The matter came to the fore recently after a local television channel and some Oriya dailies released an audio tape claiming payment of money to a Congress MLA to ensure victory of the ruling BJD`s third candidate.
The MLA denied the charge, but BJP demanded a CBI probe and resignation of two ministers allegedly involved in the horse trading during the RS polls.
Three MLAs – Shivaji Majhi, Gregory Minz (both Congress) and Bhimsen Choudhury (BJP)- abstained from voting in the RS polls.
