Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the progress of Nabakalebara projects at the Secretatiat here. Patnaik stressed to expedite the under construction projects as the monsoon is projected to arrive early this year.

A host of construction related issues including railways, roads and electricity are discussed in the meeting, which was also attended by the chief secretary Gopal Chandra Pati.

Sources said, 14 out of 20 projects have already been completed and the works of pending six other projects will soon be finished.

Meanwhile, among other important projects, Malati Patpur over bridge is expected to be finished in the first week of May and Pipili-Nimapada fly over is expected to be finished by May 30.

Gopa-Balighai road and Sakhigopal over bridge are likely to be completed in June, the secretary informed.

The ongoing works of platform number 5 and 6 at Bhubaneswar railway station are likely to be completed by the end of June as large numbers of travelers are expected to arrive by train.
