Bhubaneswar: Urging the newly-recruited civil servants to come forward and live up to the responsibilities, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said it is essential to maintain people's confidence and faith on public service delivery system and it can be achieved through 'determination, dedication and devotion' - 3Ds.

Congratulating the newly recruited-candidates, Naveen urged them to provide responsive administration at the base level citing that the Odisha government has always accorded high priority to public service delivery.

145 candidates who cleared the final round of the 2016 Odisha Civil Services Examination (OCSE)-2016 were handed out appointment letters by the CM during a special orientation programme in Bhubaneswar today. Chief Secretary AP Padhi, Revenue Minister and other dignitaries were present during the function.

The newly recruited officers will immediately join training, informed sources.

Chinmayee Chetna Dash who topped OCSE-2016 said ensuring good public service along with management of the delivery system is a challenge that the new recruits should live up to.

"Challenges will be definitely be there since we will have to work in sync with the system," she said.
