Balasore: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugrated and laid foundation stones of several projects including the Subarnarekha port during his one-day visit to Balasore today.

The Chief Minister kicked off his tour after inaugurating Talsari Beach Festival in Bhograi block where he laid foundation stones for 40 different projects worth around Rs 400 crore and addressed a mass gathering. Patnaik also laid the foundation stone for a bridge on Subarnarekha River in Pantei.

This apart, he laid foundation stones for Subranarekha port, Chandipur fishing harbour through a video conference during a Biju Yuva Bahini (BYV) programme at the Police Parade ground. Hundreds of BYV activists from Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj attended the function.

“Today I laid the foundation stone of Rs 5000-crore Subarnarekha port and inaugurated various other projects worth Rs 700 crore,” Naveen said while addressing the public.
