Phulbani: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated several projects worth Rs 250 crore for the welfare of people in Kandhamal district.

Attending Biju Youth Conclave at Kandhamal stadium, CM Naveen inaugurated 19 different projects including two 300-bedded boys and girls hostel for Phulbani Autonomous College, a 600-bedded Anwesa hostel for ST students,  renovated Kandhamal spices processing unit.

The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones for 47 projects worth Rs 177 crores through video conferencing. The projects include 8 different high-level bridges at Chakapada, Khajuripada, Tikabali, Daringbadi, Baliguda and Kotagad blocks and 14 piped drinking water projects.

The function was attended by thousands of Biju Yuva Vahini members from Ganjam, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Nayagarh and Boudh districts.

During the event, the Chief Minister also unveiled the Biju Yuva Vahini anthem and presented certificates to some beneficiaries of 'Jaga' Mission and volunteers of Biju Yuva Vahini.
