Koraput: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched the second phase of Orissa Tribal Empowerment and Livelihood Programme (OTELP) here.

"The second phase of the programme will cover at least 700 villages of Koraput and Malkangiri districts," the Chief Minister said.

Over Rs 260 crore would be spent in next seven years to enhance the food security of around 40,000 families in these districts, Patnaik said.

He also inauguarated a 100-capacity tribal girls` hostel at Hardali, an integrated tourist complex at Kolab Nagar, Bharat Nirman Seva Kendra at Koraput town and laid the foundation of a residential training complex at Landiguda during his one-day visit to the district.
