Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik has given his nod to start emergency ambulance services in 15 districts of the state. To start with, the services will be rendered in tribal dominated districts of the state and later the programme will be extended to the remaining districts.


According to information available, the ambulances will provide services within 10 km radius in the concern areas and patients can dial a three digit toll free number to avail the facility.

Similar ambulance services are already existing in as many as 11 states and two Union Territories around the country, run by a well known private health service provider group.
