Bhubaneswar: The annual matric supplementary examination began today amid tight security arrangements in Odisha. The exams will continue till June 29.

A total of 26, 643 candidates appeared the test conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in 100 centres across the State.

According to reports, the students were asked to report at the examination centre at 8.30 am that kicked off at 9 am will continue till 11.30.

The candidates will be spared an extra 15 minutes time for Mathematics paper, informed BSE officials. Meanwhile, adequate security arrangements have been made to prevent malpractice and ensure smooth conduct of the exams, officials added.

The offline and online form fill-up for the Class X supplementary examination were held between March 25 and May 31 this year.

It may be noted that a total of 6, 08,031 students had appeared the annual matriculation examination conducted by the board at 2,818 centres across the state between February 23 and March 8. The results were announced on May 7.
