The Plus Two practical and project examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha will begin on Friday, with more than two lakh students from Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational streams appearing across the state.
The Science stream has the highest number of candidates, with over one lakh students taking the examinations, followed by around 80,000 examinees from the Arts stream. Students from Commerce and Vocational streams are also participating in large numbers.
According to the schedule issued by the CHSE, the examinations will continue till January 15. During this period, practical examinations will be held in 12 subjects under the Science stream, eight subjects in Arts, two subjects in Commerce and more than 10 subjects in the Vocational stream.
To ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the examinations, the council has issued detailed guidelines to colleges. Authorities have been directed to make adequate arrangements and strictly adhere to examination protocols. Any irregularity or issue arising during the examination process must be reported immediately to the Controller of Examinations.
The CHSE has also instructed college authorities to evaluate answer sheets immediately after the completion of each practical examination and award marks on the same day at the respective centres.
Further, the council informed that marks obtained in internal assessments and practical examinations will be uploaded on the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal between January 5 and January 15 to facilitate timely processing of results.
