Charred Body Of Woman Found In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: The charred body of a woman was found under mysterious circumstances in her house at Khadianga village under Town police limits of Kendrapara district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Anasuya Singh. She is survived by her husband and a son.

As per reports, the fire engulfed the house at around 9 AM today when the woman's son and husband were away. After noticing smokes emanating from the house, some neighbours called the fire services. Though the fire services personnel reached the spot and doused the flame, they failed to save the woman.

Anasuya’s husband Surendra Singh said, “She was going through mental depression for some days and had developed suicidal tendency.”

The police along with a forensic team have launched a probe to ascertain the cause of fire. The police also questioned the husband and son of the deceased.
