Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will heavily rely on ‘technology’ to make exams foolproof from next year, informed Anil Swarup, Secretary, Department of School Education.

In an exclusive interview to OTV on the sidelines of his three-day Odisha tour, Swarup said that a committee, which was earlier constituted under the ex-secretary of higher education Vinay Sheel Oberoi to look into the reforms, has already submitted its report suggesting use of technology to tackle the question paper leakage problem.

"The committee has suggested use of technology for improving the system," he said, adding that works are on to make the CBSE exams more effective.

Swarup had earlier hinted use of  sophisticated technological system to overcome the menace of question paper leak in CBSE exams.

As many as four centres of excellence will be set up across the country soon, he said.

"In principle we feel that there should be a centre of excellence. It will take a bit of time as it has to go to the cabinet and a decision has to be taken," he said.

As per reports, one centre of excellence will be set up in Bhubaneswar which will ensure proper training of teachers.
