CBI serves notice to 2 IAS officers in Seashore Chit Fund Scam
Bhubaneswar: Carrying out investigation into the multi-crore chit fund scams in Odisha, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) served notice to two bureaucrats in connection with the Seashore chit fund case, sources said.
Notices have been served to –Parag Gupta and Sangram Keshari Ray asking them to appear before the CBI on July 2.
At present, Parag Gupta is on central deputation and presently posted as joint secretary in Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
CBI sources said Parag Gupta was posted as secretary of Tourism department while Sangram Keshari Ray was working as the General Manager of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) when Odisha government had earlier signed MoU with Seashore.
The agreements were signed for a water sports complex in Cuttack and for managing government guest house in Khurda.
