CB seals Seashore’s 3000 sq ft Bbsr office
Bhubaneswar: Continuing its sealing spree of the properties of Seashore group, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch sealed a 3,000 sq ft office – the third within a week, in Sahid Nagar here on Friday.
The CB sleuths raided the two-storey building, where the company was allegedly running its packaging operation of several food products. The officials claimed to have seized some incriminating documents, several machines used in packaging and some other materials.
On Monday, a 22-acre farmhouse owned by the company at Barala near Satyabadi in Puri district was seized by the investigating officials. The sprawling farmhouse, which has 500 coconut trees and 30 ponds, is suspected to be the company’s one of the biggest immovable properties.
The company’s 3000 sq ft guest house near Patrapada on the outskirt of the state capital was also confiscated by the investigating officials on Tuesday.
Last month the EOW had sealed the company’s corporate office here. Other immovable properties sealed include a 15-acre farmhouse in Angul district and a pharmaceutical division, a dairy farm, a cold storage and another office in Cuttack.
Cold storages in Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Khurda districts have also been seized soon after the agency flooded with complaints about the Group’s fraudulent activities including money laundering and chit fund.
