Bhubaneswar: Looking at the enormity of alleged irregularities in plot and housing scheme after receiving above 350 complaints and 30 electronic mails against realtor Tirupati Panigrahi and his two aides, the Crime Branch of Odisha Police filed it second case against the trio on Wednesday and sought remand.
 
According to CB officials, they have flooded with complaints in connection with Bhagya Nagar housing project in Pipili. 
 
On Tuesday, the CB had formed an exclusive team to probe into the complaints against the Hi-Tech group.
 
Crime Branch ADG BK Sharma on Tuesday said, “We have formed an exclusive team of 5 officers who will examine the investors and scrutinise documents.”
 
On progress of the investigation Sharma said, “DIG himself is monitoring the case and we are conducting the probe very seriously.”
 
The investigating agency has so far received 350 cheating complaints and 30 e-mails, many from abroad against Panigrahi, said sources in knowledge of the matter.
 
Earlier, on December 25, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the CB had arrested Hi-Tech Group Managing Director Tirupati Panigrahi in connection with an alleged land fraud case in the city.
 
Besides, two directors of the group Tirupati Choudhury and Madhusudan Panigrahi were also arrested for their alleged involvement in the case.
