Case against Kantamal MLA for changing name

Kantamal: The real name of Kantamal BJD legislator was not Bhagaban Kaanra and instead he was Bhabani Shankar Kaanra and furnished a false affidavit changing his name while filing his nominations for the assembly elections.  The real name of Kantamal MLA was Bhawani Shankar Kaanra and he happened to be the son of former Baliguda MLA late Sadananda Kaanra. Sadananda Kaanra was not having any  son named Bhagwan Kanra. An advocate from Kantamal,Prashanrt Kumar Sahoo, has filed a criminal petition against the Kantamal MLA for allegedly changing his original name. 

Kantamal MLA was given BJD ticket in the name of Bhagwan Kanra and accordingly he submitted his nomination papers for 2009 assembly elections. He had originally mentioned that he read up to Class 9 in the Janata High School at Aambagaon. But later on it was changed to Sadananda High School, Ringapada. But both the schools allegedly did not have any student in the name of Bhagwan Kaanra name.
