Koraput: The carcass of a wild bear was found near Pathanguda village under Kotpad forest range in Koraput district, forest officials said on Thursday.
 
Forest officials were informed about the dead bear by local villagers who spotted the carcass Wednesday.
 
"It was a female bear and autopsy of the animal was conducted at the spot. The cause of the death is yet to be ascertained," said range officer of Kotpad forest range, Jagadish Prasad Patnaik.
